The seaside sounds fine, it is my favorite place to be. During my education, (formal, in school, that is; not the life education that is ongoing.) I quickly discovered that 90% of what one is made to learn is immaterial, except to remember long enough to pass tests. For this reason I was a last minute crammer and studied and memorized before the test and retained most of it only long enough to take the test. If, in fact, any of it turned out to be necessary later I could always refresh at that time. Most of it didn't.

In response to:Chewing gum don't!

Why would you want to stop them? Rumors are fun! And anyway don't you think it is a sad world when someone's sexual preference is considered appropriate for discussion? Everyone should be as they want to be, and as they were born to be, and those who condemn are less free than the people they condemn. My younger son is in college. He is handsome, hilarious, witty, charming, kind, responsible, very beloved, and gay. There is not a thing about him I would change, except I wish he had gotten his father's black hair.
Do not be one of the crowd. Think for yourself, and never be cruel, when you can be kind.

In response to:Tips and Tricks, teachers - do not read!

Pavlov: When the teacher moves towards the left of the class, everyone sit up straight and pay attention. When the teacher moves towards the right of the class, everyone sink down in their seats and look bored. When I was your age I was too shy and lacked confidence, so I didn't think of tricks. It also seems your tricks require the cooperation of friends and I didn't have many of those.

After I was older than your age I didn't have enough interest in teachers to want to trick them.

I am glad you are blogging. Welcome. I look forward to reading more of your experiences.
